The Jaguar Peewees are off to a strong start. They pushed their record to 3-0 Sunday with a win over Pembroke.

Behind great blocking from Ben Frechette, Ben Barreiro, and Braxton Werner, Caedon Aldridge continued to frustrate opposing defenses with his blazing speed by scoring another two touchdowns. He now has six touchdowns for the season.

Shane McDonald added to the scoring with two touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Chase Makris contributed with excellent blocking and strong runs. Cameron Ayres capped the scoring off with a hard fought touchdown run.

The defense was outstanding, led by defensive end Max Arnold with two sacks and a big fumble recovery. Aidan Norberg provided some big time tackles from his linebacker position. Brayden McNulty, Michael Caruso, Liam Wells and Braeden Reichert have been flying all over the field this year keeping opponents out of the end zone.

The Plymouth South Peewees travel to face a Rockland in a big division matchup this weekend.

The JV Peewees lost a tough battle to Norwell Saturday night. Led up front by Oliver Costello, Charlie Simpkins and Aidan McDonough, the young Jags won the battle in the trenches. Owen Kailher displayed speed and agility as he ripped off many long runs including a touchdown. Cam Peigh and John Hoban fought for every yard.

A dominant defensive performance by Logan Volkringer and hard-nosed football by Michael Doherty plugged up the middle of the line. Jake Depaul, Brady Protz and Stephen Rodriguez set the tone with tough football on the outside. The future looks bright for this group.

The Plymouth South Jaguars Varsity Mites hosted Pembroke Sunday and lost by the score of 28-0.

Gavin Mercer made his varsity debut and looked amazing, getting involved in every play and making multiple tackles. Reggie Kelley had his hands full at corner but played aggressive. The Jags ended the game with a completed pass from QB James Alfieri to Tight End Ryan Clavin. Plymouth South’s next game is against Rockland.

Tough loss for the JV Mites in Hanover this week. Our guys left the field with their heads high and smiling though. We made a couple offensive changes this week and our offense put together some great drives and moved the ball well.

Jimmy Carreira started at quarterback this week. He put up a 35-yard rushing TD that was set up by a great block from Levi Brown. He also ended the game with a quick pass in the flat to James Kirby and Kirby turned it into a 70-yard run after the catch for a TD. It was the first Jaguar touchdown for both players. Congratulations boys.

Javier MacDougall made a couple of great tackles at linebacker, along with Henry Farrag, and Gian Massa. Couldn’t be more proud of the JV squad and how far they’ve come this season. We are excited to see their development in the coming weeks.
