Your votes are in and the Wicked Local High School Players of the Week have been chosen.
Acton-Boxborough’s Eric Raguin, Hanover’s Sydney Weber, Marshfield’s Emma Cushman and Plymouth North’s Jeff Rodden have been voted platers of the week.
Raguin, who earned 46% of the vote to be named boys lacrosse player of the week, tallied eight points in a win over North Andover. Connor Sullivan (Hopkinton), Chris Burnes (Natick), Jake Sullivan (Cohasset) and Ray O’Brien (Scituate) were also nominated.
Weber was voted girls lacrosse player of the week. She netted her 100th career goal and scored eight goals in a playoff win to earn 49% of votes. Casey McNamara (Westborough), Amelia Ball (Nipmuc), Caroline Markley (Marshfield), Olivia Kerrigan (Braintree) and Allie Connerty (Norwell) were also nominated.
Cush, who was voted softball player of the week, tallied three hits and plated four runs in an upset over Silver Lake. She earned 50% of the votes. Sophia Togneri (Hudson), Audrey Karyabdi (Blackstone Valley Tech), Alexcea Glynos (Danvers) and Izzy Ruprecht (Silver Lake) were also nominated.
Rodden was voted baseball player of the week for his 16-strikeout effort in a loss. Jackson Hornung (Ashland), Henry Weycker (Wellesley), Graham Seed (Lexington), Todd Tringale (Saugus) and a trio of Abington pitchers were also nominated.
