BROCKTON — Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked two people with a machete after an argument Friday. 

Carlos Gonzalez-Colon, 30, fled the 211 Green St. apartment where the alleged attack took place before police arrived on scene after 4 p.m., according to officers.

The victims, a man and a woman, were treated at the scene and then taken to a Boston hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening injuries, police said. 

Gonzalez-Colon is wanted on charges that include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and mayhem, according to police.  

Investigators said Friday night that they don't believe Gonzalez-Colon is a threat to the general public. 

Police from the surrounding area, MBTA police and state police have been notified about him, according to Brockton police.
