The Westwood Historical Society to feature Skip Wells on Tuesday, March 10, at 7 p.m. at the Fisher School, 830 High St.
Harry (Skip) Wells is a longtime Westwood resident and has been actively involved in the stock market since 1967. His titles have included Wall Street analyst, director of research and hedge fund manager.
Both his undergraduate and graduate degrees (Albion College and University of Michigan) involved economics, mathematics and statistics, and he has used these as tools throughout his career. He is currently a portfolio manager for individuals.
During his years in Westwood, Skip has served as chairman of the Finance Commission and the Long-Range Planning Committee. He currently serves on the Westwood Community Chest, and has coached many youth teams in baseball, soccer and hockey. His lifelong charity for both his time and his treasure is The Home for Little Wanderers.
The program is open to the public, handicap-accessible and free of charge. Parking is available in front of the Thurston Middle School. Refreshments will be served.
