One year-old Willow needs a home with another friendly cat to play with and keep her company. Willow is sweet but very shy, all black with stunning bright gold eyes. Originally from an overcrowding situation, Willow was in foster care while raising her litter of kittens, who have all been adopted. Although still shy and nervous around people, Willow has made a lot of progress, and continues to improve daily. It would be best if you have a small room like an office, bathroom, or spare room that you can set up to be her safety room to start so she doesn’t get overwhelmed. Willow would prefer a quiet home without young kids (10+), that has at least one other cat and may be good living with a mellow, cat-savvy dog.

We are a municipal, no-kill shelter. All our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, vet-checked and current on their vaccinations. Visit our adoptable pets during our weekly open house held Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. at 17 Fowlers Lane in Ipswich. Our Sunday open house is a great “meet and greet” opportunity. Adoptions handled at that time are those that have already been approved, and must be pre-arranged. Staff on hand during the open house are not authorized to release any animals.
