The Needham real estate market continued a hot start to 2020 with 25 transactions recorded in February at an average price of $1,157,740.

Compared to January numbers, last month’s total number of real-value transactions, or those sales with a value exceeding $1, rose slightly and the average sale value increased almost 10%.

The most expensive home sold in February, a six bedroom and seven bathroom abode at 132 Washington St., carried a $2,650,000 price tag.

February transactions included a property sold by real estate developer and Needham Select Board member Matt Borrelli. Corporate filings show Needham Enterprises Inc., a company owned by Borrelli, acquired the property at 21 Otis St. in May 2019 for $675,000. On Feb. 14, 2020, he sold the redeveloped three-bedroom home for $1.7 million.
