CHARLESTON, S.C. — Police in South Carolina have charged a Charleston man in connection with the death of a missing Scituate woman.

Celia Sweeney, 28, was found dead at a Spartanburg residence Monday, three days after she was reported missing to Charleston police by coworkers and friends.

Mark Dwayne Walton, 36, is facing a charge of accessory after the fact of murder.

A person of interest in the case, 32-year-old Buddy Allen Carr, was also found dead at the Spartanburg residence where Sweeney was found, according to police.

Authorities said they did a welfare check at Sweeney's Charleston residence Friday and found that she was missing, along with her vehicle.

Officers found her abandoned vehicle, a black 2010 Audi S5 convertible with Massachusetts license plates, late Saturday night.

Sweeney also lived in Weymouth at one point in her life, and according to a friend and former coworker. She moved south about a year ago.
