The Boston Synagogue, 55 Martha Road, Boston, will host a Klezmer Jam at 6:30 p.m. March 22.

Klezmer Jams are held twice a month, usually the second and fourth Sundays. Check the website for changes.

Klezmer music originated as Eastern European Jewish Folk music and more recently has been influenced by American jazz. It’s often high energy with violins, cellos, accordions, clarinets, saxophones and other instruments. Attendees who play an instrument are welcome to bring it.

Light refreshments will be served. A suggested donation of $5 is requested. Limited parking is available.
