Meeting concerning renovation process: 11:30 a.m. March 5. A meeting to explain where ASA and COA programs will be relocated, how the vans will run, what loose ends need to be tied up and to answer any questions people may have about dislocation during the renovation period. This is about the transition only. Note: As of the week of March 9, all ASA programs and events will be at off-site locations.

Movies at 1 p.m.: No movie on March 5. March 19: “Knives Out,” with Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans. Regent Theater.

Book Club News: 1 p.m. March 20, Robbins Library. The group will be discussing “The Library Book,” by Susan Orlean.

Seeking candidates for ASA president

The Arlington Seniors Association is seeking a resident of the town of Arlington to become president of the Association, starting July 1. ASA invites inquiries and requests for more information from persons interested in joining this active organization at the heart of services to the senior population in Arlington and to lead the board of directors in its planning and presentation of programs in the next transitional year and in the years ahead in the soon-to-be-renovated Arlington Senior Center. This person works closely with the staff of the Council on Aging in planning educational, social and enrichment programs in the center. Emmet Cahill at Venus de Milo, Swansea: March 12. Star of PBS’s “Celtic Thunder,” Emmet Cahill has been hailed as Ireland’s most exciting young tenor. His performances of the Irish classics, in particular, have likened him to the great John McCormack. Meal choices: corned beef and cabbage, or baked haddock. Cost: $95 ASA members; $98 nonmembers.
