Services: The Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church holds worship services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday School is offered during worship services for infants through high school students. Following the service, the congregation can engage in fellowship at the Coffee and Conversation time.
Volunteer opportunities, social groups and committees: There are many ways members serve the Methodist church, the community and beyond with volunteer opportunities, social groups, missions and committees. Some of these groups are Giv2 Ecumenical Youth Group, Knit-Pray & Crochet Charity Mission (first and third Monday, all faiths welcome), and Project Linus Blanket Making. Events include Choir (first and third Thursday), Book Club (third Wednesday), Weekly Sunday School, Bible Study, United Methodist women and men’s group, Prayer & Pastry Group, Ministry Leadership Team, Card Care Ministry, Love & Grace Greetings (a Card Care Community Outreach Program), Newsletter “Chat & Fold” Day, Monthly Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry Collections, annual Fall Craft Fair and Committee, Praying In Color (a prayer and doodling group), Church World Service Fall school supply collection, Spring Church World Service “Blanket with Love” Donation Ministry.
Other groups: The church offers its building to many local groups like Happy Hearts Preschool, Wakefield Cub Scouts & Girl Scouts, Wakefield Arts & Crafts Society, Joyful Music Together (child and parent music class), drama groups like Kids Curtain Call & Wakefield Repertory Youth Theatre, and Hagar’s Sisters Domestic Violence Advocacy Counseling training, among others. The church is also a Project Linus Blanket Drop-off spot.

Sunday worship: Traditional Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. Contemporary Worship begins at 11 a.m.
Community Breakfast and Clothing Closet: 9 a.m. third Saturdays. This is an opportunity for those in need of fellowship, a meal and/or clothing.
Temple Emmanuel of Wakefield
Temple Emmanuel is an inclusive Jewish Reconstructionist community devoted to learning, spirituality and caring for each individual. At Temple Emmanuel, the congregation is building a future in honor of the past, utilizing traditions to provide meaning and sustenance in contemporary lives. Prayer books are fully transliterated and the facilities are handicapped-accessible.

First Baptist Church (American Baptist) of Wakefield
Worship: FBC is meeting in the Covell Chapel of the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Wakefield. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. with traditional and contemporary music, choir, hand bells and preaching. There will be coffee and conversation in the Vestry after worship.
Adult Education: Sunday mornings at the Fireside Room.
Service: Shepherd’s Table, a community meal every second Monday of the month at 6 p.m. in the dining room of First Parish Congregational Church. Volunteers always welcome.
