MARION - The South Coast has a lot to offer, and at the annual Gleason Family YMCA fundraiser there were delectable oysters aplenty to pair with complementary wines at the elegant Marion Music Hall Friday night.

“Toast of the Coast” is a yearly event that not only makes for a fun evening, but supports the annual campaign to help make sure that the Gleason Family Y’s many programs are never financially out of reach for anyone.

The fruits of the South Coast offered included Snug Harbor Fish Company’s boat-to-table sample oysters from Wareham and Duxbury, served by the Duxbury store’s Danny Shannon; as well as the bar stocked and run by Kate Goodwin and Kelly Manchester of OCD Beverage Catering of Dartmouth; or patrons could take their chances at a wine pull and mystery bag raffle run by Melissa Dyer of Gleason YMCA.

“We are looking forward to a fun night,” said Mark Guerin, YMCA member engagement director, as he, along with coordinator Catherine Dumas, childcare director Amanda Libby and program director Shayna Santiago fanned out to meet and greet the evening’s guests.
