WEYMOUTH — A popular South Shore restaurant known for its craft beer selection plans to reopen after abruptly closing earlier this year.

Union Brew House, at 550 Washington St., announced on Facebook this week that it will soon reopen.

In June, on Facebook, the restaurant thanked the community for the outpouring of support after its closing announcement.

“There was a perfect storm of equipment failure and it will take us some time to get things up and running again,” the post read. “With that being said, we’re taking time to repair and renovate (and relax).”

The restaurant opened in 1996 on Route 53, and is well known for its pub grub and long list of craft beers.

Staff could not be reached for more details about the reopening.
