WAREHAM - The Wareham Garden Club has announced a new series of Garden Therapy events with the Wareham Council on Aging. Garden Therapy will combine creativity, flowers, plants and relaxation at no cost to Wareham’s seniors. Members of the Garden Club will supply all materials, and the sessions will take place on the second Friday of each month, beginning Oct. 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the Multiservice Center.
Each program lasts about an hour, and WGC members will help seniors work at their own pace to create a different project each month that individuals can then take home. Projects are suited for all abilities and interests. Please register in advance by calling 508-291-3130.
The Wareham Garden Club's many community activities are supported by purchases at its fundraising Plant and Bake Sales, December Christmas Faires, and bi-annual Garden Tours. The Wareham Garden Club looks forward to the new monthly meetings and collaboration with the Town’s Council on Aging participants.
