ďAll Work and No Play,Ē a solo exhibition by Lennon Michelle Wolcott Hernandez, will be displayed Oct. 3-Nov. 2 at Gallery 263, 263 Pearl St., Cambridge.
Wolcott Hernandez explores how having a full-time job impacts artistsí time for creativity and practice. Office supplies inspired by the artistís day job serve as materials for the work. Patterns and symbols of Lennonís multicultural American heritage are used to create an exhibition that serves as a self-portrait, broadly defined.
A reception will be held 7-9 p.m. Oct. 10, and the artist will give a talk and performance on Indigenous Peoplesí Day, Oct. 14.
The galleryís regular hours are 1-7 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.
