Following are excerpts from the Boxborough public safety log for the period of Sept. 16-22. The log is public record and available for review. All persons are assumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.
Monday, Sept. 16
2:19 p.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Massachusetts Avenue. Services were rendered. One party was arrested.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
12:42 p.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Swanson Road. Services were rendered.
3:25 p.m.: A caller on Swanson Road reported receiving a scam call from the “Massachusetts Police Relief Fund.”
Wednesday, Sept. 18
9:06 a.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Massachusetts Avenue. Services were rendered.
11:28 a.m.: Larceny was reported on Swanson Road. A party stated his cellphone was stolen at work. He had left it in the bathroom, and when he returned, it was missing and shut off.
2:21 p.m.: Possible motor vehicle theft was reported on Adam’s Place. The vehicle was located on the side of the building. Services were rendered.
Thursday, Sept. 19
11:49 a.m.: Suspicious activity was reported on Stow. Someone was flying a drone in an area with a sign that says it’s prohibited. The parties in question were students from flight school; they were advised to go elsewhere.
Friday, Sept. 20
8:35 a.m.: Traffic control issues were reported on Mass. Ave. Services were rendered.
Saturday, Sept. 21
11:42 p.m.: A caller reported a motorcycle parked on the side of the road on Mass. Ave. with no one around. The registered owner was contacted but did not respond. A message was left for the owner, and the vehicle was towed due to its location.
Sunday, Sept. 22
9:45 a.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Mass. Ave. The owner of the motorcycle from the previous night was advised on how to pick up their vehicle.
2:11 p.m.: A caller reported a possibly impaired driver on Adam’s Place. The van was located with the male party, who wasn’t operating, and showed negative impairment.
