Events

Parkinson’s Disease Support Group: 10-11:15 a.m. third Tuesday of each month, Whittemore Robbins House (yellow mansion behind the library). Call the COA at 781-316-3400 to register.

SNAP Application Intake Site: The COA can help you to apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Call to see if you are eligible.

Arlington Bright Day Memory Café: 10 a.m.-noon first Monday of every month, BrightView Arlington, 1 Symmes Road. Co-sponsored by the Arlington Council on Aging and BrightView Arlington. A free, safe and supportive space for those living with cognitive impairments and their caregivers in an inclusive, welcoming and interactive social group with activities and refreshments. Ongoing events

Tai Chi: 1-2 p.m. Mondays and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursdays with Bill Barron. Call for information about next semester’s start date. Cost: $25. Register and pay by first class. Minimum 10 participants.

Muscle Strengthening: 10:15-11 a.m. Wednesdays. Register and pay by first class. Cost: $28. To find out when the next new semester starts, call the COA.

Drop-in Chair Yoga: 2-3 p.m. Thursdays, Mural Room. Drop-in cost is $3. For questions, call the COA.

Caregiver Support Group: 10:15-11 a.m. second Thursday of the month. The group meets with Lourie August. The group is for those who provide care for a senior.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group: noon to 1:30 p.m. second Wednesday of the month. For information, call the COA.

Low-Vision Support Group: 1:15-2 p.m. fourth Tuesday of the month, ground floor conference room.

Got Feet?: Monthly Podiatry Clinic at the COA on the first Monday of each month, unless a holiday. Cost: $30. Appointment required; call the COA.

Financial Planner: 9:30 and 11 a.m. second and fourth Fridays. Rick Fentin is available for a free appointment. To make an appointment, call the COA.

SHINE Counselor: Senior Health Information Needs for Everyone. Free. To make an appointment, call the COA.

Elder Law Attorney: Alex Moschella, Esq., will be offering limited monthly half hour individual legal consultations. Van rides are available as well. Call the COA to make an appointment at 781-316-3400.
