Following are excerpts from the Acton public safety log for the period of Sept. 13-18. The log is public record and available for review. All persons are assumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Sept. 13

1:21 p.m.: MBTA reported a train struck a beagle on the tracks. They reported the dog did not have any tags and was buried. The incident report was passed onto the sergeant. An officer would notify the owners.

4:35 p.m.: A complaint regarding an employee was reported on Great Road.

5:44 p.m.: Community policing services were rendered on Charter Road.

8:45 p.m.: Assault was reported on Great Road. Parties were spoken to and advised of their rights.

10:06 p.m.: A missing dog was reported on Parker Street.

Saturday, Sept. 14

3:50 a.m.: A disturbance was reported on Central Street. Services were not needed.

8:20 a.m.: A dying fox was reported on Craig Road. The animal was deceased on officer arrival.

11:25 a.m.: Community policing services were rendered on Main Street.

2:26 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries was reported on Main Street.

3:15 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries was reported on Main Street.

7:58 p.m.: A dispute between roommates was reported on Old Stone Brook.

9:18 p.m.: A caller reported someone screaming from one of the apartments on Strawberry Hill Road. The gathering was located inside a unit; they were advised to quiet down.

Sunday, Sept. 15

3:16 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries was reported on Powdermill Road. The car was driven into a pole. Two parties were transported to the hospital. One party was arrested.

4:29 a.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Powdermill Road. The State Police accident reconstruction team was on the scene at 5:23 a.m.

2:24 p.m.: Two golden retrievers were reported found on Stacy’s Way. Both dogs would be held onto until the owners returned home.

Wednesday, Sept. 16

10:58 a.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Sachem Way.

2:57 p.m.: A traffic hazard was reported on Main Street.

3:38 p.m.: Past larceny was reported on Great Road.

4:09 p.m.: Community policing services were rendered on Charter Road.

4:47 p.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Central Street.

4:56 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Mass. Ave.

5:45 p.m.: A found bank card was reported on Mass. Ave.

6:46 p.m.: Fraud was reported was reported on Robbins Street.

7:04 p.m.: An intoxicated operator was reported on Great Road. One party was arrested.

Thursday, Sept. 17

7:11 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash without injuries was reported on Great Road.

9 a.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Central Street.

9:16 a.m.: Missing medication was reported on Great Road.

9:45 a.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Conant Street.

2:40 p.m.: A hit-and-run was reported on Devon Drive.

3:05 p.m.: Larceny was reported on Thoreau Road. The RP stated his son’s bike was stolen.

6:04 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash without injuries was reported on School Street. Two motor vehicles were towed.

8:25 p.m.: A civil complaint was reported on Hosmer Street. Parties were spoken to.

9:12 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash without injuries was reported on Arborwood Road.

Friday, Sept. 18

2:13 a.m.: State Police reported erratic operation of a car carrier at Route 2 eastbound and School Street. An officer located the vehicle in question. The driver stated a car cut him off and needed to slow down to avoid making contact with that vehicle. The officer stated there is no sign of impairment and no issues.

8:40 a.m.: A caller reported a suspicious dropped off by Amazon on Nadine Road. A detective would handle the incident.

10:47 a.m.: A follow-up investigation was initiated on Charter Road.

1:10 p.m.: A caller reported a male party hit a utility pole on Powdermill Road with a tractor trailer and then became irate with employees. There was no damage to the pole or the car. Eversource was notified that it may have been struck. A later discovered fuse had been knocked off with no apparent cause, with no indication of damage to the car.

1:36 p.m.: A found bike was returned to Harris Street.

3:52 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash with injuries was reported on Great Road. Two vehicles were towed.

3:57 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Hosmer Street. Officers responded for an argument that turned physical.

4:32 p.m.: A possible can of poison was reported on Forest Road. An officer stated the substance is pesticide for utility poles; the can was within 5 feet of a pole. The substance was collected without issue.

5:03 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash without injuries was reported on Central Street.

7:49 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash without injuries was reported on Main Street.

9:02 p.m.: A caller on Ledge Rock Way reported her son’s iPhone when missing during a cross-country meet.
