The Retired Men’s Club of Arlington recently listened to Dan LeClerc discuss the genres of “Musical Memories of the 60s Part 2.”

LeClerc gave two- to four-minute summaries of approximate 20 singers of the ’60s. Each of these singing groups was analyzed for their category of music and the messages they were trying to send. Among the groups were Elvis, Canned heat, Woodstock, Joan Baez, Simon & Garfunkel, Roy Orbison, Dusty Springfield, the Beatles, Bee Gees, Beech Boys, Rolling Stones, Mamas & Papas, Aretha Franklin, the Who and Judy Collins.
