FALL RIVER — A man and juvenile suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds during a fight near Second and Morgan streets Tuesday night, according to police.
An arrest has not been made in connection with the incident, said Detective John Robinson.
About 10:30 p.m., officers were called to Saint Anne’s Hospital where a 20-year-old man had a stab wound to the lower back, Robinson said in a statement.
A 17-year-old girl was also treated for a minor laceration to her forearm, according to Robinson. Both victims live in Fall River.
The man told police he was dropped off at his home on Fountain Street and shortly after was approached by two people who had robbed him Monday, the spokesman said. The man walked toward the area of Second and Morgan streets with the reported robbers in an attempt to get his belongings back.
Meanwhile, the juvenile victim got word from friends that the man went for a walk with the same two people he alleged had robbed him the day before, according to Robinson.
The juvenile caught up with the trio near the intersection of Second and Morgan streets and asked the male victim to leave with her, Robinson said.
A fight broke out and both the male and the female were stabbed by two men police described as black males, about 5 foot 9 inches, likely teens.
Robinson said anyone with information about the stabbing is urged to call the Fall River Police Department at 508-676-8511.
