The Wellesley Historical Society’s Tollhouse Shop carries gently used china, crystal, linens, silver and silver-plate, mirrors, lamps, small tables, costume jewelry and collectibles. Run by volunteers, it relies on the generosity of Wellesley residents for donations. All donations receive a tax-deductible receipt.

What it is: Herend Chinese Bouquet Covered Casserole — $85. Magnificent piece of Herend Chinese Bouquet, rust colored, covered casserole, hand painted from Hungary. Finial is in the shape of a lemon. Casserole measures 11” x 6” , handle to handle, including cover. Also available in the Tollhouse Shop are four pieces of Green Chinese Bouquet, two oval vegetable dishes, a small plate and small relish dish. Originally created in 1930 in raspberry coloration for Count Albert Apponyi, the pattern features a center motif of a stylized peony surrounded by a garland of leaves with 24K gold rosettes. All items are in mint condition.
