Towneship opened in April 2018 on Main Street in Easton.

EASTON — La Cucina Sul Mare, a Falmouth eatery, will be taking over the Towneship restaurant in Easton.

Mark and Cynthia Cilfone went before the Select Board Monday evening to transfer the Towneship’s alcohol, common victualler and entertainment licenses to their restaurant.

The Cilfones opened La Cucina Sul Mare, which means “the kitchen by the sea,” in 2002 on Main Street in Falmouth. The restaurant serves seafood, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

“There will be a lot of seafood coming up from the Cape,” Mark Cilfone said.

They said Easton developer David Howe, a partner in the Towneship, approached them about coming to Easton.

The Cilfones don’t have an opening date at this time.

Towneship opened in April 2018 on Main Street in Easton. Howe is partners in the restaurant with Chandra Gouldrup of The Farmer’s Daughter.

Howe is also looking to open a sushi and Asian restaurant at 134 Main St. between the Farmer’s Daughter and Towneship.
