50-State Mysteries Book Group: 6:30 p.m. June 17. Anyone who enjoys reading mysteries is welcome to join the new book group, the 50-State Mysteries Group. Every month the group will read a mystery that takes place in a different state. First stop will be Kansas with “The Virgin of Small Plains” by Nancy Pickard. Pick up a copy at the circulation desk. The evening will feature dessert, decaf and detection.

Cake and Conversation: 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 1. With special guest Philip Mahoney, Cohasset’s Veterans Agent. Bring friends, curiosity and a sweet tooth.

Ongoing programs

Knit night: 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. The library offers two knitting groups on Wednesdays. Come and relax with other knitters while working on a project.

Home delivery service available: Library staff are happy to deliver materials to patrons who are unable to visit the library. Deliveries take place every Wednesday afternoon. Call Kristin at 781-383-1348, ext. 7119, for more information.

Brain HQ: The library now offers Cohasset library cardholders access to Brain HQ, an online tool designed to exercise one’s brain through a series of mental challenges.
