Paint Night

6:30 p.m. June 24, Large Meeting Room

With help from a local artist, participants will create an acrylic on canvas, season themed painting. This is a 21 and older program, reservations are required, and there is a $15 fee, cash or check payable to Carver Public Library Foundation, due by June 21. Call 508-866-3415 to register. Refreshments will be served.



10 to Try – Summer Reading

Read up to 10 books with different criteria, check the bookmark for the categories, and submit one bookmark for each title that read. The drawing for the winner will be after Labor Day and the winner will receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant.

Edaville USA free passes

Edaville USA has once again donated free passes to the library for residents of the town of Carver. There are two passes per family available for each day they are open. The library offered the tickets to Carver residents at the library March 30 for the months of April, May, June, July and August. Bring proof of Carver residency as well as specific dates preferred. Museum Passes

The Carver Public Library offers the following museum passes: The Rogers Williams Zoo, The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Massachusetts State Park Passes, The Museum of Science in Boston, and Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich. To book a pass, visit and look for Museum Passes under Library Services button and from there, reserve museum tickets. Call the library with any questions at 508-866-3415.


1 to 3 p.m. every Tuesday. Learn to play Mahjong at the library, whether experienced or just fascinated with the tiles.

Book Club

2 p.m. third Wednesday of the month in the Small Meeting Room. Refreshments will be served. The next meeting will be held May 15. The title is "The Ice Cream Queen of Orchard Street" by Susan Jane Gilman. Books are available at the Circulation Desk. Everyone is welcome including newcomers. Refreshments will be served.

Wi-Fi Hotspot

The library announce that a Wi-Fi hotspot is now available for patrons to borrow. This device will provide access to the internet from anywhere — a rental home, a camper, even a car — which makes it perfect for a family going on vacation.
