The Retired Men’s Club of Arlington is open to all men who are retirees (or soon to become) where members can play cards (bridge, whist and poker), pool, read books and enjoy daily free coffee, open every day, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. This nonprofit organization is made up of members from the local towns in the greater Boston area.

Trips

Bull & Claw Lobster Bake (Ogunquit Me) day trip: June 18. $95 per person. Meal consists of clam chowder, choice of lobster, or prime rib, or stuffed chicken breast along with salad and desert. Bus departs at 8:30 a.m. and returns at about 6:30 p.m.

Mohegan Sun Casino day trip: June 20. $30 per person. Luxury Motor Coach leaves church parking lot at 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Ample parking is available. Travellers will receive $10 food and $20 big wheel or pull tabs coupon. Return trip departs from casino at 6 p.m.

Ongoing events

RMCA Golf League starts in May: The RMCA Golf League meets every Tuesday at the Reedy Meadows Golf Course in Lynnfield, starting with the first Tuesday in May, weather permitting (May 7). Golf league dues are $60 for all members. This will entitle members to a reduced ($16) greens fee, a mid-season cookout (Aug. 13) and a golfers-only end-of-season full buffet at the Reading Mandarin (Oct. 1). Mondays, cribbage: Games start at 9:30 a.m. every Monday at St. Camillus’ lower church hall. Guests are invited to participate in the Cribbage Tournament at the RMCA. Women and nonmembers are welcome. Bring a friend. The cost is $8 per week, and guests will be eligible for a weekly cash prize. Join the tournament, which lasts 12 weeks, and participants could win up to $500 at the end of the tournament. Every player is guaranteed a cash prize. Free coffee and doughnuts. Fridays, bowling: The RMCA Bowling League meets every Friday at the Woburn Bowling Center, 32 Montvale Ave. Starting time is 9 a.m. This is an informal fun league where regular members (and new members) can join in for some exercise and friendship.
