The 2019 season of the Needham Farmers Market kicked off with a grand opening celebration on June 2 with new and returning vendors, events and activities.
Opening day guest speakers and NFM supporters included Selectman John Bulian, State Rep. Denise Garlick and Needham Bank Senior Vice President Carrie Vargas.
The market is located on Garrity Way, the paved driveway between Needham Town Hall and the Town Common. Local farms and other food vendors, musicians and artists are at the market from noon to 4 p.m. every Sunday through October.
The market will showcase a variety of vendors offering local in-season produce, fresh fish and seafood, eggs, pasture-raised meats and poultry, granola, nuts and treats, homemade small batch toffee, fresh-baked breads and pastries, coffee beans, honey, pickles, jams and jellies, tahini products and more.
Each week will bring new seasonal selections, crafts and gifts from local artisans, kid’s activities and live music to entertain shoppers.
