Children with a range of cognitive and physical abilities shine while they play together on the Children’s Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf field, the only fully-accessible, rubberized baseball field on the North Shore. Player registration and volunteer arrivals begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by warm-ups at 10 a.m. Following the game is pizza at 11:30 a.m.

Strawberry Social: 3 to 5 p.m. June 15 at the Second Congregational Church, 35 Conant St., Beverly. Featuring fresh picked strawberries, home baked biscuits, ice cream and whipped cream. Free community event, all are welcome. 

Peter Griggs performance: 7 p.m. June 15 at St. Peter’s Church, 4 Ocean St., Beverly. There is onsite and street parking. The artist will take a free will offering.

Beverly Bootstraps’ Summer Food Program: June 17-Aug. 30 at Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry, 35 Park St., Beverly. Families with children will be able to visit the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry every week, instead of every other. The goal is to ensure that all children have healthy meal options available this summer. Registration is encouraged and can be done during the weeks of June 3-7 or June 10-14 during the following hours: 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. No appointment is necessary for registration. Note that registration is required for anyone new to the program. Bring children’s birth certificate, Social Security card, or report card as well as current proof of residency.
