The Friends of the Plymouth Council on Aging meet the second Monday of the month at 12:30 p.m. at the Center. Visit the Friends website at http://fpcoa.org to learn more about membership opportunities and fee structure. There is no fee to become a member of the Center, however, class and program fees may apply.
Timeless Treasures Gift Shop: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. located inside the Center for Active Living. All items $5 or less. No clothes, food, furniture or electronics accepted. Proceeds benefit the Center for Active Living.
Everyday Italian: 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays June 4-July 30. No class July 2. Learn to speak Italian with an emphasis on basic and everyday expressions with Amelia Cozza. Cost is $65 for the entire course. Minimum of 10 students. Registration required.
Abandon Ship: The Indianapolis: 10 a.m. June 19. Presented by Gary Hylander. After delivering the Atomic Bomb upon Hiroshima, the Indianapolis was torpedoed by a Japanese Submarine. Come hear the story of this ship and the men that served on it. Registration required.
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 20. Join in the March Against Elder Abuse. Meet at PCAL for transportation. Life Insurance Review & Long Term Care Options: Make an appointment and meet with Elaine Buonvicino, Independent Insurance Agent to review your existing policies. She will be at the Center every last Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m.
Getting Back to Happiness Monthly Loss & Support Group: 2 to 3:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month from April 22-June 3. This group is led by Chaplain Ken Hart of Compassionate Care Hospice. No meeting on May 27.
Alzheimer’s Caregivers: 2 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday each month. Professionally-led group for caregivers, family, and others dealing with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Register.
