Veteran Marine Sgt. David Fairfax, of Weymouth, was recently selected by the Student Veterans of America to be a VIP guest at the induction ceremony for former Patriot offensive tackle into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Sept. 29.

Fairfax and his guests were given a private tour of the Hall of Fame, VIP seating at the ceremony, admission to the post VIP reception and a commemorative gift.

He was among seven recognized military members present at the ceremony.

Fairfax graduated from Weymouth High School in 2013 and completed four years in the United States Marine Corps.

Fairfax is a student at Bridgewater State University where he works in the Veterans Affairs Office. He recently started a student veteran organization on campus and functions as the president.
