Fall Story Time: Fall Pre-School Story Hour takes place each Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and the library is holding signups now until Sept. 30. Space is limited so stop by the library or call to sign up today at 508-674-9609. Fall story hour sessions will last through until Oct. 30, and will conclude with our annual stroll through the stacks, a costume contest and Halloween party. Remember that all children who attend Story Hour must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver. This story hour is for 3-5 year olds (but little brothers and sisters can come too).

Adult Coloring Contest: The Swansea Free Public Library will host the first annual Adult Coloring Contest. Submissions are due any time by Oct. 23. Final entries must be in by Wednesday, Oct. 23. This contest is for coloring artists age 18 and over, one entry per person and there will be two winners. Pick up one of the pre-selected coloring pages at the circulation desk at the library. Peter Biedermann will appear for the second time at the Tiverton Public Library. His hybrid, contemporary style melds elements of American and European folk with jazz and blues shadings; underpinned by subtle ambient electronics. The program encourages questions from the audience and will also include some of the history and evolution of steel string guitar playing over the last 50+ years.
