Business owner and community organizer Joan Parcewski was named 2007 Business Champion of the Year by the Billerica Chamber of Commerce and the Billerica Plan, and honored at a recent breakfast and ceremony that included guest speakers Police Chief Daniel Rosa and Rob Kanzer of Cambridge Coaching Collaborative.


Business owner and community organizer Joan Parcewski was named 2007 Business Champion of the Year by the Billerica Chamber of Commerce and the Billerica Plan, and honored at a recent breakfast and ceremony that included guest speakers Police Chief Daniel Rosa and Rob Kanzer of Cambridge Coaching Collaborative.

The event was hosted by Cabot Corporation.


The Business Champion of the Year award is given to a business person each year, after nominations are received from the business community. Parcewski was chosen from 10 nominees.


Parcewski has worked in financial services for more than 20 years and also owns a candle company.


Her community organization efforts include leadership roles with the Billerica Twinning Group, the Billerica Lions Club, the Sons of Italy, the Billerica Museum Committee, the Billerica Holiday Festival Committee, and many other organizations.


She is currently the chairman of the Yankee Doodle Homecoming Committee, which organizes the town’s annual Yankee Doodle Homecoming Festival in September.
