Log Entry of the Week: On Wednesday, May 23 at 6:52 p.m., a resident of Boston Rock Road wanted to document that somebody dug up and took her azalea bush.

In addition to the incidents reported below, Melrose Police this week responded to 23 burglar alarms, 18 general complaints, 11 disturbances, 14 medical emergencies and requests for ambulances, 20 reports of suspicious activity, six animal complaints, two public utility complaints, 18 requests for assistance, six parking complaints, two fire alarms and 12 vehicle accidents. They performed 57 building and area checks, five traffic stops, five well-being checks and served or attempted to serve seven restraining orders and summons. There were four 911 hang-up or misdial calls.

8:22 a.m. MBTA requests help aboard Bus 0066 At Lebanon and Main Streets for unruly passenger. Party removed from bus and peace restored. 9:25 a.m. Car stolen from Meadowview Road.
12:21 p.m. School resource officer reports past breaking and entering at Melrose High School between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. 4:39 p.m. GPS system stolen from vehicle on Porter Street. 4:56 p.m. Property stolen out of vehicle on Ellis Farm Lane. 9:32 p.m. Walk-in report of assault on Green Street.
9:44 p.m. Caller on Green Street reports pizza delivery car hit his vehicle and fled.   Saturday, May 19
12:12 p.m. Report of teen boys with handgun at Melrose High School. Tuned out to be toy gun.
12:12 p.m. Caller on Meridian Street reports hit and run accident.   Sunday, May 20
2:24 a.m. Caller reports home on Avon Street invaded and robbed, called from Shell gas station. Victim claims he was tied up with duct tape, dragged inside the apartment and assaulted by two male suspects. Several items were taken from apartment. Victim was treated by EMTs at the scene. Incident is under investigation by police.
5:08 a.m. Caller reports intoxicated male part sitting in car in Robinson Funeral Home parking lot on Main Street. One under arrest.   Monday, May 21
8:58 a.m. Report of a man in a dumpster at Coolidge Condominium on Main Street, refusing to leave. Male advised to stay off the property, male left without incident. 3:22 p.m. Past breaking and entering on Hurd Street.
5:14 p.m. Motor vehicle stop on West Wyoming Avenue at Waverly Place. Two parties under arrest.   Tuesday, May 22 8:27 a.m. Prisoners transported to Malden Court. 10:20 a.m. Vandalism on Main Street. Damage to property. 11:03 a.m. Stolen checks from Swains Pond Avenue. 11:04 a.m. Car on Howard Street keyed overnight. 7:42 p.m. Tools stolen from driveway on Lynn Fells Parkway.
10:51 p.m. Loud group causing disturbance at Hoover School. Group moved.   Wednesday, May 23 12:18 p.m. Walk-in report of hit and run accident. 6:36 p.m. Report of tools stolen from work van on Elliott Street.
7:19 p.m. Caller from Knoll parking lot reports window of vehicle smashed and purses stolen.   Thursday, May 24
8:21 a.m. Caller reports past and hit and run on East Foster Street. 9:00 a.m. Walk-in report of identity theft. 10:56 a.m. Larceny/forgery/fraud on Sycamore Road.
11:43 a.m. Caller from Lynn Fells Parkway reports her window was smashed in by a rock.4:31 p.m. Motor vehicle stop on Washington Street at Aaron Street. One under arrest.4:35 p.m. Verizon worker on Berwick Street shot by BB gun. Suspect not located, party not injured. 4:53 p.m. Hit and run accident on East Emerson Street.
6:12 p.m. Report of stolen bicycle and children trespassing on property on Tappan Street.   Arrests
Alexander R. Marchurs, 18, 47 Lovell Road, Melrose, was arrested on Monday, May 20 on charges of OUI drugs, possession to distribute a Class D drug, possession of a Class C drug and a drug violation near a school or park.

Jerome V. Donnarumma, 39, 89 Pearl Street, Unit 312, Malden, was arrested on Tuesday, May 21 on charges of a subsequent offense of operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating an uninsured vehicle, receiving stolen property over $250 — license plate, a number plate violation of attaching to conceal identity and vehicle not meeting registry safety standards.

Vance P. Ferratusco, 26, 39 Broadway, Unit 306, Malden, was arrested on Tuesday, May 21 on charges of possession of a Class B drug and a subsequent offense of possession of a Class A drug.

Jonathan K. Carvalho, 18, 59 Crestview Drive, Malden, was arrested on Thursday, May 24 on charges of unlicensed operation of a vehicle and a number plate violation.

Also, police had 1 warrant arrest this week.
