PLYMOUTH - The Plymouth South Jaguar Midgets were outstanding Sunday in taking a 14-12 playoff win over Pembroke.

The Jags will now face Rockland in the Div. 3 Old Colony Youth Football League title game Sunday at Norwell High. Game time is 12:30 p.m. It’s been a good year for the Rockland program as they’ve placed a team in all three title games that day

Led by Head Coach John Merlino, the Jags were the 2nd seed in the playoff bracket with a 7-1 record during the regular season. Liam Davis got the Jaguars out to a great start with a touchdown and two interceptions in the first half. Keenan Ansah ran in the-two point conversion after Liam Davis’ touchdown.

Fullback Cole Brunstrom scored the other touchdown with a rush up the middle. Quarterback Declan Davis had multiple connections with tight end Tyler Tedeschi while Nolan Palmer had many great runs to give the Jaguars first downs.

The Jags defensive line of Erik Bergman, Anthony Merlino, Mike Scarini and Tedeschi was tremendous, sacking the Pembroke quarterback multiple times. Linebackers Jamie Andrews, Brunstrom and Palmer came up big with many big tackles.
