Jake Jewett tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout to lead Natick Post 107 (9-5) to a 1-0 win over Waltham Post 156 in a Zone 5 Legion matchup on Friday night.

J.J. Hickman tallied two hits in the victory.

“This was the second consecutive great outing from Jake [Jewett],” said Post 107 mananger Matt Lodi. “He gives us a chance to win every time he pitches.”

Early in the game, Natick had trouble converting base runners into runs.

“I'm proud of what the guys did today,” said Lodi. “They battled through adversity early on with stranding runners, but they fought hard to get them around and they finally did. Get them on, get them over, get them in, that's what we try to do.”
