The Newton North girls track and field team got off on the right foot despite some sloppy conditions in the opening victory against Needham.
The Tigers achieved 20 personal records in the 90-46 victory that included very cold and windy conditions.
Cat DeGroot qualified for States in the 800 meters, Dee Boyer did so in the 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles, Yahni Lapa made the mark in the 400 hurdles and Ashley Wang did so in the discus.
Einat Gavish registered a personal record in the 2-mile, Drew Bookman did so in the shot put and discus, Julia Lanfear had a PR in the discus, Chelsea Simmons achieved one in the long jump and Nia Abelenda did so in the triple jump.
The Tigers will next take part in the Bay State Conference Invitational meet to be held on Wednesday.
