HOPEsudbury has carried on its mission to engage the people of Sudbury in communitywide efforts to provide humanitarian aid to people in need, both at home and abroad, through the community for 18 years.

The HOPE Fund, HOPEsudbury’s signature program, provides short-term financial support for Sudbury residents who have fallen on hard times. Since 2002, HOPEsudbury has distributed more than $600,000 to Sudbury families who have experienced financial emergencies. Whether it be a utility bill, an uncovered medical expense or assisting with a rent/mortgage payment, The HOPE Fund can help.

The HOPE at Home program supports residents and Sudbury’s first responders in different ways. These include new gloves for firefighters, financial fitness education, gift cards for pharmacy, gas and transportation needs, as well as donations to the Sudbury Food Pantry.

The community can continue to help these families and programs by making a tax-deductible contribution to HOPEsudbury. Visit www.hopesudbury.org to donate online or mail the donation to HOPEsudbury, P.O. Box 802, Sudbury, MA 01776.

Through the month of October, Pennies for HOPE jars will be available in the lobby of each school. Parents can send any spare change in with school-age children
