The following are excerpts from the Maynard police log from Monday, Oct. 29, to Sunday, Nov. 4. The log is public record and available for review. All persons are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.

Monday, Oct. 29

10:07 a.m.: A caller reported a laptop was taken from a business on Mill and Main Place.

10:53 a.m.: Suspicious activity was reported on Main Street.

11:41 a.m.: A caller on Bancroft Street reported finding a small bag with a white powder in it.

1:52 p.m.: A walk-in reported items were stolen from her office on Mill and Main Place.

6:57 p.m.: A walk-in asked to speak with an officer about their 16-year-old son smoking marijuana.

Tuesday, Oct. 30

1:03 a.m.: A caller reported that several men and women were having a verbal argument on Nason Street.

8:01 a.m.: A caller in Concord reported a dog with a Maynard tag had been found there.

8:44 a.m.: An issue involving a man refusing to get out of his vehicle was reported on Great Road.

9:22 a.m.: A disturbance between a male individual and a female individual was reported on Dawn Road. Callers reported multiple verbal threats exchanged. An officer reported the male individual left the scene with his mother.

11:16 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash was reported on Main Street.

5:09 p.m.: A caller reported a woman dozing in and out while sitting in a vehicle on Waltham Street. The caller told police the woman was covered in her own urine. An office found no signs of impairment, and, after an evaluation, the woman refused medical assistance.

Wednesday, Oct. 31

11:48 a.m.: An out of control student was reported at school on Tiger Drive.

6:03 p.m.: A vehicle was reported driving in from Stow on Great Road without its lights on. An office observed the vehicle with its lights on.

Thursday, Nov. 1

8:53 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash was reported at Parker Street and Great Road.

11:13 a.m.: A caller reported noise-cancelling headphones were stolen from a business on Mill and Main Place.

1:40 p.m.: An issue with a juvenile’s behavior was reported on Tiger Drive.

6:59 p.m.: A caller reported a refrigerator with its doors still on it in the roadway on Parker Street. An office observed a house nearby was under construction, but there was no permit in the window with contact information. The Department of Public Works was notified.

Friday, Nov. 2

12:42 a.m.: An officer checked on a vehicle on Tiger Drive.

8:49 a.m.: A caller reported concern after finding a steak knife behind a business near the rail trail and Main Street. The item was recovered for disposal.

9:04 a.m.: A disturbance was reported on Deer Path.

12:06 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Chandler Street.

12:36 p.m.: A caller reported being rear-ended in a drive-thru on Main Street.

1:44 p.m.: A caller on Chandler Street reported having an issue with an individual from a previous call.

3:38 p.m.: A caller on Mill Street asked to speak with police about a stolen package.

7:42 p.m.: An officer was flagged down on Naylor Court regarding an intoxicated woman. An officer gave the woman a ride home and secured her keys.

Saturday, Nov. 3

12:47 p.m.: A caller reported receiving threatening emails.

1:54 p.m.: A tree was reported on wires on Great Road.

2:12 p.m.: A tree branch on Parker Street was removed from the roadway.

3:08 p.m.: A downed tree and wires were reported at Waltham Street and Old Mill Road. Eversource was notified.

3:20 p.m.: A vehicle was reported side-swiped the night before on Summer Hill Road.

3:50 p.m.: Barricades were blown into the road by wind at Parker and South streets.

5:45 p.m.: A downed tree was reported blocking half the roadway on Concord Street.

Sunday, Nov. 4

8:36 a.m.: An owl was reported in a Second Street residence.

9:17 a.m.: A caller reported his black Maine coon was missing.

5:07 p.m.: An erratic driver was reported driving in from Stow on Great Road. The area search was negative.
