Hagar’s Sisters, a domestic violence 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a faith-based approach, will hold their 10th anniversary comedy benefit, “Filled with Laughter,” at 7 p.m. May 5 in Burlington.

The evening of comedy and entertainment will help Hagar’s Sisters raise $25,000 for scholarships to help women striving to overcome their experience of domestic abuse. Also featured will be live and silent auctions, door prizes, musical entertainment, a dessert reception, and testimony from a survivor of domestic abuse.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at HagarsSisters.Ticketbud.com or by calling Hagar’s Sisters at 978-266-0053.

Hagar’s Sisters is planning this benefit to raise $25,000 to help women and children in the community find hope, healing and a new life free from abuse. For the women Hagar’s Sisters serves, a lack of finances is frequently a significant barrier to receiving help. For this reason the women they support are never charged for the services they receive. Hagar’s Sisters is fully reliant on contributions from individuals and organizations to come alongside the women of Hagar’s Sisters who are working diligently to help them reclaim their dignity and lives.
