To the editor:
I realize the Newton Tab is committed to presenting opinions from all sides of the political spectrum, and that’s a commendable goal. However, is there some way to have Tom Mountain be more concise in his columns? For instance, his latest screed “Stopping the school shootings” could have been condensed to simply “To prevent shooting massacres in Newton schools we should have school employees or police with guns in the schools at all times to shoot back.” That simple! Instead, Newton Tab readers had to suffer through one-third of a page of his ramblings and repetitions on the virtues of turning America into an armed camp. Can we leave some room for somebody else?
