STOUGHTON — Randolph Savings Bank will be rebranding as Envision Bank, effective March 12, the bank announced Monday.

The bank, which is headquartered in Stoughton, has been expanding outside of its original market and needed a name that would be recognized outside of its core community, according to Richard Olson, senior vice president of retail banking and marketing.

"The name Randolph Savings Bank just didn't tell the story about who we are and where we're hoping to go as an organization," Olson said.

The new name also reflects the bank's focus on technology, which Olson said is one of its strengths. The bank wants to be able to use this focus to help its customers move towards a healthier financial well-being.

Olson said that the new branding of the bank is the follow-up to a long process of research into what its customers want to see from the organization.

"It's a name that could grow with us in our new markets," Olson said.

Locally, the bank has branches in Randolph, Stoughton, Holbrook and on School Street in Boston.  Its stock trades on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
