PLYMOUTH — Real Angels Foundation, a newly launched nonprofit organization for real estate professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting local charities, has announced a set of seminars to take place this February.
In association with the foundation, the classes are offered through the Real Angels Academy, a Massachusetts-licensed real estate school that provides continuing education classes for realtors on a monthly basis.
Titled “Environmental Issues: Radon, Mold and Other Things that Keep You Up at Night,” the class will cover environmental topics such as radon, mold, asbestos and lead paint; well water testing; updates in smoke and carbon monoxide detector laws; wetlands and conservation commission issues; electromagnetic waves from power lines; and more. Each class offers the same information and runs from 9 to 11 a.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. For ease of access, the class will be held three times on the following schedule:
n Feb. 2 at the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce, 134 Court St.
n Feb. 8 at the Cask n’ Flagon Restaurant, 804 Plain St., Marshfield
n Feb. 15 at 160 Old Derby St., Hingham
Classes for the remainder of the spring will be announced soon. Real estate professionals can register for any class at http://realangelsacademy.org. Advance registration is required. While the classes are free, a nominal $20 per class donation is encouraged and 100 percent of the proceeds will be given to local charities selected by the foundation.
