The American Cancer Society has appointed 12 volunteers, including Frederick Hussey of the Norwell-based Morgan Stanley LLC, to the newly created American Cancer Society board for the Eastern New England area.
“We all look forward to providing strategic volunteer leadership on a local level to help the American Cancer Society continue its tradition of saving lives, celebrating lives and leading the fight for a world without cancer,” said Dr. Mark Goldberg, chairman of the Eastern New England Board. “As part of our responsibilities our board will help the society forge collaborations with community partners that have a shared vision and contribute to advancing the Society’s cancer control and revenue priorities.”
Area boards provide strategic volunteer leadership to the American Cancer Society. The Eastern New England board consists of American Cancer Society leadership volunteers from eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
“We are honored to welcome these distinguished members to the newly created Eastern New England Board,” said Holly Grant, executive director of the American Cancer Society. “This talented and diverse group of volunteers are committed to helping the American Cancer Society attack cancer from every angle.”
