More than 150 guests gathered at The Center at Medfield’s 10-year celebration Jan. 7 at 1 Icehouse Road, Medfield.

State Sen. Paul R. Feeney read and presented an official citation from the state Senate recognizing the accomplishments of the center. Roberta Lynch, director of the center at Medfield, thanked everyone who attended the event. She also thanked those who had any part over the past 10 years in building the center or maintaining it as an important resource for the community. After Feeney’s presentation, three guest speakers provided testimonies on the positive impact the center has had on their lives. They included Zia Hasan; Robert Heald, chairman of the Council on Aging board and Friends of Medfield Seniors; and Richard Ryder, COA board member. Tony Centore of the Lions Club presented FOSI a $1,500 check representing proceeds from its Chowder Fest, recently held at the center.

The center serves over 900 seniors and family members, includes more than 140 volunteers and has six staff members.
