Nomination papers are now available for this year’s town election. Positions are opening up on a number of boards including selectmen, planning and school committee. Papers are due back to the town clerk’s office by Monday, March 12.

Positions that will be open in this April’s Town Election are: one on the board of selectmen, board of assessors, board of health, board of public works, trustees of veterans memorials; and two on the planning board, housing authority and school committee. The position of town clerk will also be up for election.

Selectmen Chairman Michael Bradley’s term expires this year, and he has already taken out nomination papers to run again. He has served one term on the board.

“Unfortunately, in three years I haven’t been able to get everything done I wanted to get done,” he said. “We’re midstream on a lot of things and I’m just not done. I’ll step aside when I am, but I think I’m going to need three more years.”

Acting Town Clerk Narice Casper has also said she will run this year. Patricia Picco was elected as clerk in 2015, but Casper stepped in when she resigned for health reasons later that year.

Other terms expiring include planning board members Antonio Pina and Nik Pappastratis, school committee member Kendra Campbell and school committee chairman Sean Costello.

Nomination papers can be picked up in the town clerk’s office through Thursday, March 8.

The annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 28. For more information, visit or call 781-834-5540.
