TIVERTON - Amicable Congregational Church United Church of Christ announced Sunday’s, Jan. 14, Gospel lesson is Jesus identifies his disciples. Worship begins at 10 a.m. This Sunday’s Gospel lesson is Jesus identifies his disciples.
One of the marks of being a Christian is having empathy for each person we meet. This Sunday, our hearts go out to those chilled to the bone in winter and our hands will bring in new or gently used sweaters to donate to a neighbor in need of warmth. You may also bring in warm socks as we missed the sock collection last week due to inclement weather.
A child care professional is available during the 10 a.m. Sunday service for babies and toddlers. All are welcome. Sunday School is in session.
On Mondays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Al Anon meets at Amicable Church. This weeks Al Anon meeting may be affected by construction work at the church.
On Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. all are invited to the on-going “Faith Conversation.” Using Bible readings as a spring board for conversation, those attending discuss issues of the day.
The Wednesday morning quilting and knitting group meets weekly at the church from 9 to 11 a.m. This weeks quilting session may be held off site due to construction work at the church.
