The Saugus River Watershed Council will hold its annual meeting on Monday, Dec. 11 from 6:30-9 p.m. at Spinelli’s on Route 1 South in Lynnfield.

Saugus River Watershed Council Executive Director Joan LeBlanc will provide a keynote presentation highlighting opportunities and challenges within the Saugus River Watershed. Come learn about the unique natural resources of the Saugus River watershed and ongoing efforts to protect them for future generations.

SRWC will present the following River Stewardship Awards:

Kirstie Pecci, Conservation Law Foundation, for outstanding contributions toward protecting natural resources and public health in the Saugus River Watershed.

Saugus Action Volunteers for the Environment for outstanding contributions toward protecting natural resources in Saugus.

Lynn United for outstanding contributions toward promoting environmental justice and ensuring public access along the Lynn waterfront.

This event will also include a brief SRWC business meeting to elect 2017 officers and board members.

For $25 per person, guests will enjoy the keynote presentation, awards ceremony, plus a delicious dinner buffet by Spinelli's including: hand-carved roast beef with mushroom gravy, chicken, ziti, broccoli alfredo, baked Boston scrod with julienne vegetables and light lemon sauce, tossed salad and rolls, oven roasted potato, coffee and tea, Spinelli's triple chocolate fudge cake and cash bar available.
