Northeast Youth Ballet submitted the following press release

Northeast Youth Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” is the enchanting journey of a young girl named Clara in 1835 Germany who embarks on a journey through a winter wonderland to a palace of sugary sweets. Featuring the talents of more than 140 dancers who auditioned from the Greater Boston area, along with international guest artists hailing from Hungary, Italy, Columbia, Puerto Rico and New York, the production will return to the J. Everett Collins Center for the Performing Arts in Andover. Exquisite dancing, beautiful costumes, lavish sets, with Tchaikovsky's brilliant score guarantee a magical holiday experience.

This year, five Saugus residents, Mackenzie Bright, Aurora Capobianco, Victoria Liwanag, Ashley Reardon and Rachel Shea are privileged to share the stage with international guest artists in NYB’s ballet, “The Nutcracker.”

For more than 20 years Northeast Youth Ballet (NYB), a non-profit ballet company, has been known for producing quality ballet productions in the Greater Boston area, continental United States and abroad.

“The Nutcracker” will run from Thursday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017. Tickets range from $27 to $35 and may be obtained through or by calling 800-595-4849 (4tix). Groups of 20 or more and students are eligible for discounted tickets at $25.

For those who qualify, complimentary tickets are also available through NYB’s S.T.A.R.S. Program, a community outreach program created to encourage and educate children and individuals of all ages who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend the ballet. This group includes students, senior citizens, special needs organizations and military families from the inner city and surrounding communities.
