HUDSON — The First Federated Church, 200 Central St., will hold a Ladies Charity English Tea at 4 p.m. Oct. 28.

The traditional English-style tea will feature scones, finger sandwiches, and sweets, as well choices of tea and coffee. The guest speaker will be Lisa Saunders of the Willis House Shelter.

The event is to help raise community awareness and support for the Willis House Shelter. Willis House Shelter is located in Hudson and meets the needs of many homeless people, including women and children.

Ladies attending the tea are asked to bring one of the following to help with the support of the shelter: slippers for children, socks for children, body wash, flip-flops in all sizes, men’s socks, men’s underwear, men’s T-shirts and men’s hats and gloves for winter.
